He is particularly known for leading the Google Arts & Culture Lab, where he revolutionized access to culture by combining cutting-edge technologies with artistic heritage.

In 2013, he joined Google to design and head the Google Arts & Culture Lab. For ten years, he brought together a multidisciplinary team of researchers, engineers, artists, and creators to develop innovative tools like the Google Cardboard VR viewer. Under his leadership, the Google Arts & Culture application became the most downloaded in its category worldwide, with over 3,000 partnerships in 80 countries.

Starting in 2015, Laurent and his team harnessed advancements in artificial intelligence to launch avant-garde projects like Art Selfie, collaborating with prestigious institutions such as NASA, the Centre Pompidou, and the MoMA. His vision is to put cutting-edge technologies at the service of artists and creators, transforming the cultural experience and expanding audiences.

 

Before his tenure at Google, Laurent founded the new media department at the Château de Versailles, introducing the latest technologies into the world of heritage. He began his career at Universal Music France, where he created and led the Marketing, e-CRM, and online development department for artists. A graduate of Sciences Po Paris, the Sorbonne in musicology, and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Laurent continues today to support cultural institutions, artists, and companies in imagining a future at the intersection of innovation and culture.
