Marion Darrieutort

Communication Entrepreneur

Marion Darrieutort describes herself as a communications entrepreneur because for more than 20 years, she has always been driven by a desire to shake up the codes of the communications industry in order to better adapt the practices of the profession to the times and to the expectations of stakeholders and society.

It was this desire for innovation that led her to create the ELAN agency in 2008 before joining the Edelman group, where she had worked in the past, with her team in 2015. Thus, she merged her agency, ELAN, with the Edelman Group to create Elan Edelman, which will quickly establish itself in the landscape of successful and innovative agencies.

In the midst of the Covid crisis, in November 2020, Marion decided to re-enter the business, motivated by the opportunities that the context offered. Thus was born The Arcane Cabinet which counts 14 consultants and works for a dozen clients. Arcane defines itself as a Governance and Influence Consultancy that assists leaders in governing with all the powers, all the arcane and helps them in their corporate communication.

Marion is a generalist who has never been able to choose between the world of Corporate and Consumer, between the world of Reputation and the world of Brand and likes to touch everything and create bridges between the 2 worlds. Thus, she manages the different facets of her clients’ reputation on a daily basis: employer image, social image, financial image, and citizen image. In parallel, she also likes to put her creativity at the service of brands and lifestyle topics inspired by the quest for societal insights that she likes to unearth to support her clients’ business. Her clients are loyal to her and L’Oréal, Sodexo, Danone, Moet Hennessy, among others, have trusted her for over 10 years.

For the past few years, she has focused on advising executives on their personal branding and public expression, as well as on their leadership and governance style. In particular, her consulting focuses on how leaders can develop a positive footprint and demonstrate the company’s contribution to the society in which they operate. What is now called Purpose, has been in the DNA of ELAN since 2008, which – born in the midst of the financial crisis of that time – has adopted a real advocacy with the PR industry in France and its clients.

A true activist for the common good, Marion is convinced that the company has a decisive role to play in the progress of society and that it must serve the common good. This conviction is exercised with her clients whom she takes into the world of impact and more societal governance. This is why The Arcane intends to address the G of ESG criteria. Marion also contributes her time as a volunteer (pro bono) to the causes that are dear to her: for example, she is co-president of the Think Tank of leaders – Entreprise et Progrès – created 50 years ago by L’Oréal and Danone to reconcile human and economic performance.
