Côme Girschig

Committed speaker

Côme Girschig is a committed speaker, a graduate of the École des Ponts ParisTech and Sciences Po Paris.


He holds a degree from the École des Ponts et Chaussées and Sciences Po Paris, and founded the awareness-raising association “Jeunes Ambassadeurs pour le Climat” (Youth Ambassadors for Climate).

 

He has also held various positions in other associations and movements (CliMates, On Est Prêt). Since 2016, he has been following UN climate negotiations, notably as a youth delegate within the French inter-ministerial delegation. In 2019, he represented French youth at the UN at the Global Youth Summit for Climate, and was then a citizen reporter at the Climate Convention.

 

In 2020 and 2021, he initiated two lawsuits related to 5G to propose an alternative path to the “for or against” debate, notably emphasizing the lack of environmental evaluations of the technological infrastructure. In 2021, he participated in TedX Panthéon-Sorbonne by developing the theme of individual carbon quota.

In 2022, he developed a conference on new narratives with Imagine 2050, a project aimed at showcasing the still under-exploited potential of imaginations to unite around ecological transition. His activities frequently lead him to speak in the media and at conferences on various topics related to ecology (climate and biodiversity, new transition narratives, tools for decarbonizing the economy, etc). In 2022, he produced a clip calling for a boycott of the Qatar World Cup with actress Lucie Lucas.

 

In 2023, he is featured in Usbek and Rica’s “30 under 30” to watch list, for his various activities.Driven by a passion for debate and concern about the turn of events, he takes the time to share his findings and questions within companies, media, and universities.
